WWI 2nd Division 12th Artillery Regiment Combat Veteran Portrait Photograph
The photograph measures approximately 3 7/8 inches by 5 7/8 inches. The photograph depicts a young enlisted man wearing a large, 2nd Division shoulder patch on his summer uniform tunic. The patch can be seen to be a horizontal rectangle with star and Indian head, as worn by the 12th Artillery Regiment. An artillery unit collar disk is on his standing collar. On his left breast he wears the World War I Victory Medal with five bars; the Mexican Border Service Medal; and the French Croix de Guerre with star. On his lower left sleeve he wears three overseas service stripes. The photograph has some minimal scrapbook paper residue on the reverse. The image is clear and crisp and the photograph is in excellent condition.
