Third Reich 1941 SA Service Dagger RZM M.7/40/41. by Hartcopf & Company

The dagger blade shows significant wear and age, with much graying and spotting, and with the burnishing gone from the blade motto. The reverse ricasso bears the RZM code of “M1/40/41”, indicating production in 1941 by the firm of Hartcopf & Company. The grip is a light to medium brown color that fits the guards well and is without chips or cracks. The grip eagle is the nickel style. The enamel SA runes button is without chips or cracks. There is much speckling of the plating to the upper and lower guards. There is loss of a significant amount of the painted scabbard finish, primarily on the front side of the scabbard, losses to the plating on the lower mount and missing a screw on the lower mount.
