Single Decal Third Reich Reissued M16 Combat Helmet

The exterior textured field gray paint is largely intact, showing scattered scuffs, abrasions, and scattered spots of rust. The single army decal exhibits age toning  but it is essentially completely intact. The interior has no visible manufacturer code, likely as a result of the repainting of the helmet. The helmet was fitted with the Model 31 liner. The liner shows the loss of one of the leather tongues as a result of deterioration, but otherwise the liner is intact. The helmet had the original M16 chin strap lugs removed and replaced at the time of reissue by small riveted plates. The helmet was also fitted with chin strap bales on the bottom edges of the side rims before the Model 31 liner, with its integral chin strap bales, was placed into the helmet. Overall very good used condition.
