SA Groupe Warthe Officer M43 Cap
The M43 cap is in olive brown wool and the crown is piped with silver cord to indicate officer rank. The front of the cap displays a machine woven SA eagle and swastika, woven in silver wire thread on a cornflower blue base, the color of SA Group Warthe. The insignia is machine sewn to the front of the cap and through the interior lining. The ear flap is secured on the front of the cap by two silver pebbled buttons. The back of the buttons is marked “O & Cie.” and bears the mark of “OLC” within a diamond. This mark is most often seen on the SS officer belt buckle, and is the manufacturer mark of the fim of Overhoff & Cie. The cap is fully lined in brown cloth and the lining bears a size stamp of 58. The cloth RZM label removed. The cap is without holes or stains and shows only storage wear, suggesting that the cap was never issued or worn. Overall excellent condition.
