Pre WWII Army Officer Visor Cap with Attribution to a General Officer Size 7 1/2
The body of the cap is a herringbone pattern that is a very light shade of green, with a golden brown cap band and with a brown leather visor and chin strap. The front carries the gilt officer American eagle insignia. The interior has a wide leather sweatband and fabric crown lining with a protective celluloid disk. Beneath the celluloid disk is a gilt crest with the words “Quality Guaranteed”. An interior size tag is marked as 7 1/2. The body of the cap has some spots and minor fabric pulls. The hat has an old tag which on one side bears the handwritten notation “General Morgan Hat”. The opposite side of the tag has the notation “Part of Group #9587”.
