Post WWII 1st Infantry Division 5th Field Artillery Regiment Ike Jacket Size 34 Regular
The jacket has the post war characteristics of a two button closure at the waist and without the buckle adjustment straps on the waist. The left shoulder has a German-made example of the 1st Infantry Division patch. The sleeves carry Staff Sergeant chevrons. The shoulder straps each display the distinctive insignia of the 5th Field Artillery Regiment, domed “US” and 5th Field Artillery collar disks. Above the left breast pocket is a German-made ribbon bar with ribbons for the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Occupation Medal, and the National Defense Medal. On the left shoulder is the fourragere for the French Medaille Militaire, as awarded to the 5th Artillery Regiment in World War II. Accompanying the jacket is the soldier’s overseas cap, pied in red for artillery and carrying the distinctive insignia of the 5th Field Artillery. Overall excellent condition.
