Named WWII U.S. Army Officer’s Pith Helmet
The interior of the pith helmet bears the handwritten annotation of “Lt. John W. Manton”. The exterior shows some spots and surface soiling. Interestingly, the owner placed a foil fabric inside of the helmet, presumably to provide some type of insulation. The full chin strap is in place across the front visor, and an officer’s cap eagle is in place on the front of the helmet, although the eagle is a bit loose. Overall the helmet is in very good condition.
