Named WWII Japanese Navy Officer Visor Cap with White Cover

The blue wool visor cap retains the white cotton cover, which shows spots and a few small holes. The bullion and metal Imperial Navy officer insignia on the front of the cap shows age toning and some verdigris. The surface of the leather visor exhibits typical age crazing. The interior of the cap shows wear and use, but the lining is intact, to include a leather diamond on which is written the name of the officer who wore the cap. Overall the cap is in very good condition, exhibiting great character as a cap that was no doubt worn by an officer of the Imperial Japanese Navy at sea.
