Named Sterling 1942 Red Cross Volunteer Badge
World War II enamel badge of a volunteer with the American Red Cross. Approximately 1 inch in diameter, the badge is maker marked on the reverse with “BBCO” for manufacture by Bastian Brothers, and “Sterling”. Additionally, the date of 1942 was engraved on the back of the badge by a non-professional hand, together with the volunteer’s name of “Rita Roper” and her address in Chicago. Excellent condition.
