Named and Extensively Signed Silk WWII Japanese Personal Good Luck Flag “Certain Victory, Certain Success”

Approximately 28 inches by 39 inches. Two corners are reinforced and have cord ties. The fag shows age toning and spots, but the flag is without damage and it makes an excellent appearance. The flag is extensively signed and it bears a red stamp, presumably a shrine stamp. The flag bears the declaration of “Praying that Mr. Shimizu Kichijiyu has continued luck in the fortunes of war”. Also present on the flag is the statement “Certain Victory Certain Success 〜i Hirosada” (the first kanji of the writer’s signed surname is not completely clear). The flag further bears a two line poem, “It’s been awhile on the front lines ….Your mother calls your name in her heart” (with the last words of the first line not being completely clear). Overall excellent condition.
