French Medaille de Haute-Silesie with Document

The medal was awarded to French troops who served in Poland (known as Upper Silesia) to settle unrest and maintain order between 1920 and 1922. This example was pinned to the award document, which reflects the award of the medal to Raymond Joubert, a Cavalier of the 12th Hussars Regiment. The document is dated 1922. The medal is in good condition although the original blue stripes on the ribbon have a green hue from exposure to the light. The document was pasted down to stiff cardboard and shows some toning, frayed edges, and some small holes. Nevertheless the medal is rather scarce and the medal and document together make a very desirable set.
