Battle Damaged WWII Japanese Rice Cooker Mess Kit

The rice cooker mess kit shows significant battle damage, with a large hole in one side, and smaller holes in the opposite lower edge and in the lid, appearing to indicate the entry of a projectile on the side that sent fragments through the top and the opposite lower edge. The large hole damage resulted in the destruction of the handle mount on that side. The mess kit shows kanji on the front center and on the lid. The mess kit retains much of its original paint, and it shows typical darkening from having been placed into a cooking fire.
