1979 Hamilton U.S. Army General Purpose Wristwatch

Recently deaccessioned by a Vietnam War museum. The watch is marked on the back of the case with the production information of Hamilton as the manufacturer and a production date in the post-Vietnam War year of 1979. The original olive green web strap bears the handwritten name of the veteran who donated the watch, which was the same style and type worn by American forces in Vietnam. The watch is presently running and it winds easily, but it may well be in need of a cleaning.
