Smooth brass grip,stirrup guard, overall length of approximately 28 inches, with a blade length of approximately 23 inches. Marked “S&R 1855” on the ricasso beneath the langet. The iron blade has a generally even, dark gray to black appearance. There are one or two small nicks in the cutting edge. The brass grip and guard have a very dark, completely uncleaned, patina.
