Named WWII Japanese Navy Officer Green Field Cap
click for an even bigger image

A nicely worn Navy officer's field cap in green cotton with two black rank bands around the body of the cap. The cap is named to an officer named "Ueda". The front bears the machine woven insignia of an officer of the Imperial Japanese Navy. The cap shows surface dirt and sun fading. The interior bears a cloth tag on which the owner's name is written in kanji. Overall a very good example of a cap that was obviously worn in the field.
