1914 Iron Cross 1st Class With Interesting Catch
Slightly vaulted configuration with wear to the paint on the iron core. The reverse has an interesting pin assembly with the "C" catch affixed to a separate band of metal, and a hinged, heart shaped mount below the pin that lifts up beneath the pin to prevent the pin from being depressed and unhooking from the catch once it has been pinned in place.
