WWI M1898/05 Ersatz Butcher Blade Sawback Bayonet
The bayonet has a pressed steel grip which is painted field gray. At the base of the grip is a "high ears" muzzle ring which exhibits rust. The blade was unblued and remains quite bright, with some surface rust on both sides at the ricasso, and with typical scratches and smudges from use in the field. The blade is unmarked by any manufacturer. Locking button working. The steel scabbard retains about 50% original painted black finish.
