Third Reich Reichspost Savings Account Book Set

The German post office in the Third Reich offered a savings account as a service for German citizens. Upon opening a savings account the customer received a set of Postsparbuch (Postal Savings Books). Both documents had matching numbers. For withdrawals over 100 Reichmarks one of the orange forms from the "Kundigungsscheine" had to be filled out, while withdrawals under 100 Reichmarks involved submitting one of the forms from the pale yellow yellow Ruckzahlungsscheine. These two books have matching serial numbers and would have been given to a single customer for use with their account. The books are unused, with the paper showing signs of age and with some edge fraying of the pages.
