The helmet liner worn by civilian labor and security support personnel of the U.S. Army in Europe between 1945 and 1989. For more information on this organization see the excellent website at www.usarmygermany.
This example is a highly lacquered liner worn by a member of Labor Service Unit 4104, a security guard unit at the General Depot in Pirmasens, Germany. It shows signs of wear with some scuffing.
