WWI German M16 Combat Helmet
Model 1916 German combat helmet, with exterior field gray paint that is approximately 75% intact. The steel liner band is present with the three liner pads intact. Each of the "pillows" behind the leather tongues retain their filling. The interior bears the stamp of "TJ 66", indicating a size 66 shell manufactured by C. Thiel & Son of Lubeck. The helmet is without a chin strap. The liner drawstring is missing and one of the drawstring holes in one liner pad is torn. Overall the helmet is in excellent combat used condition.
