Clean Single Decal Army M16 Transitional Combat Helmet

A Model 1916 Army combat helmet that was refurbished and reissued by the German Army of the Third Reich. The exterior field gray combat paint is approximately 95% intact. The single army eagle decal is approximately 90% intact. The M31 liner is present and complete, and it is marked as a size 58. The original leather chin strap is present and retained by bales affixed to the liner band. The interior of the helmet shell is stamped "W68", indicating a size 68 helmet shell manufactured by Hermann Weissenberger & Co. of Stuttgart. Overall excellent condition.
