Named WWII Japanese Navy Officer White Field Cap
click for an even bigger image

An exceptionally clean example of the white field cap of an officer of the Imperial Japanese Navy, the officer rank being indicated by the two black bands around the body of the cap. The interior shows few signs of actual wear. There is an interior tag with handwritten kanji giving the name of the original owner: Suho (It is interesting that the officer wrote his name in the western fashion, from left to right. This same officer's peaked visor cap is being offered on this site as item number 28509). The cotton cap shows only minimal surface soiling and toning from age and the cap is in overall excellent condition.
