Three photographs and a map, the photos being an interesting depiction of American soldiers of World War I with their military motorcycles. Two of the photos are postcard size, about 3 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches in size. One depicts a group of soldiers with a motorcycle and a sign behind them identifies the unit as the "Maintenance Depot" in L'Ouest, France". The second postcard photo shows five soldiers, several of whom wear leather jerkins, sitting aside motorcycles. The third photograph is larger, approximately 6 1/2 by 9 inches, showing a larger group that is presumably the men of the depot unit, one of whom sits astride a motorcycle, this photo has a few edge chips. There is also a map with the group which depicts the roadways in the area of Le Mans, France. The map is printed on blueprint paper and is about 19 by 28 inches. The map has a few small tears and a small hole.
