The belted, four pocket, service uniform jacket of an Army Air Force pilot who served in both Europe and in the China Burma India theaters. The jacket has a theater made bullion Army Air forces patch on the left shoulder, with four bullion overseas stripes on the lower left sleeve. The right shoulder has an American made example of the CBI theater patch. On the left breast is a pin back ribbon bar with ribbons for service in the European Theater, the Pacific Theater (with one campaign star) and the World War II Victory Medal. Above the ribbon bar is a full size, 3 inch, pin back pilot wing in sterling silver and manufacturer marked by A.E. Company. Over the right breast pocket is the pin back ribbon for the Presidential Unit Citation. The shoulders display pin back bank insignia of a First Lieutenant. The interior of the jacket has tags of both Hart, Schaffner & Marx and the Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot. The wool twill material has a few relatively insignificant "pulls" and some wear to the cuff braid. The interior of the jacket shows wear and use, but overall the jacket is in very good condition. There is no size stated on the interior tag but it would be classified as a "medium" size.
