Named "Pink" Top WWII Army Officer Visor Cap Size 7 1/4

A very interesting example of a World War II U.S. Army officer's cap with a removable top in "pink" wool, a cap that was intended to be worn as an alternative to the olive wool cap when the officer was dressed in the "pinks and greens" uniform. The cap is in excellent condition and, while it shows signs of age, the cap is free of significant spots of any mothing. The interior is tagged as a size 7 1/4, and the name of the owner and his service number are written on the leather sweatband: "Major W.F. Sturek 0-325754".
