Hitler Youth NPEA Political School Shoulder Strap
Sew in style black wool shoulder strap for wear by a member of the Hitler Youth who had been accepted in, and who was attending, one of the schools that had been established Party to train the future political elite of the Third Reich. These were the National Political Education Institutes, designated by the abbreviation "NPEA" as is embroidered on this strap. The strap is piped in white. There is a small hole near the edge of the strap where the veteran who brought the strap home as a souvenir tacked it up on display. Otherwise the strap is in excellent condition. The black shoulder straps were introduced for wear by the NPEA students in September of 1938, with tan colored straps having been worn before that time.
