On Hold

An outstanding example of the M1C airborne helmet worn by the paratroopers of the Vietnam War. The Mitchell camouflage helmet cover has shows use consistent with having been on the helmet for about 50 years and it bears a contract number which places its manufacturer in the 1966 period. The paratrooper lined has a serial number in the nape strap of 1969. The liner shows wear and use consistent with use in the field. The full airborne harness is present as is the chin strap. The camouflage cover is secured to the helmet with an olive drab helmet cover band that bears the name of "Pence" written on it. Overall excellent used condition.
