Named WWII Japanese Army Captain Full Dress Cap
click for an even bigger image

A fine example of the impressive full dress uniform visor cap for a Captain of the Imperial Japanese Army. The cap is extremely clean and, while it has the usual age crazing to the surface of the leather visor, the wool body of the cap is extremely nice. It is free of stains or moth damage and the gold braid remains bright, with only mild age toning. The dress plume is in place on the front peak of the cap. The interior shows only minimal wear. The original owner's name is stamped in gilt letters, in English, on the interior lining, that name being "Sawada".
