WWII Hawley Fibre M1 Helmet Liner
click for an even bigger image

A Haxley fibre liner as used early in World War II. The liner is in overall very good condition. Typically for these liners, this one has a few cracks, one of which is on the front side and is about 1 1/2 inches long, and a few at the rear that are about one inch long on the exterior surface, and longer on the interior surface. The liner chin strap is present. The exterior fabric cover has the expected spots and stains. The rear nape strap is dated 1945, suggesting that it was a period replacement.
