WWII Japanese Red Cross Hospital Flag
Cotton construction, approximately 32 by 44 inches in size, with two leather reinforced corners and tie attachments. The flag was constructed by sewing the red cross to one side while, on the other side, an opening was created on the white flag to permit the red cross to be visible on that side as well. The flag has the expected spots and stains that would come from use at a field hospital, and there is a small separation at the fly edge along the hem, but overall the flag is a very good field used example of a scarce Japanese flag of World War II.
