1941 Dated Japanese Army Summer Tanker Helmet ID'd
The lighter weight, fabric covered, helmet that was worn by Japanese Army tank crew personnel in summer or tropical climates. The helmet is in very good to excellent service used condition. The leather Imperial Army star is affixed to the front. There are a few exterior spots but overall the helmet is quite clean. The full "Y" harness leather chin strap system is complete and intact. The interior shows use, and there are several issue stamps present on the liner, including the issue stamp with a 1941 date (Shows 16). There is also a kanji annotation on the interior side of one of the Y straps, with the name of the tank crewman who wore the helmet "Sahayama".
