WWII Named Italian P.O.W. Trench Art Lighter
click for an even bigger image

An aluminum trench art cigarette lighter, named on one side to "Giusepppe De Luca". The opposite side reads "Cairo Egypt". The side of the lighter bears the notation "P.O.W Italia Marino". Obviously, Giusepppe De Luca was an Italian soldier who was taken prisoner in the North Africa campaign. The lighter presently has no flint although the flint striker turns easily and the lighter might well work if a flint is installed and fluid placed in the unit.
