The blade of the dagger is bright, showing light typical runner marks and a few dark spots, but with visible crossgrain and a dark motto that retains much of its original RZM code of M7/66, reflecting manufacture by the Carl Eickhorn firm of Solingen. The blade does have some old oil on it, easily cleaned off. The grip is a dark reddish brown with an inset aluminum eagle that has excellent detail. The SA runes button is straight and it is free of chips or cracks. The reddish brown grip is in excellent condition and it The grip the crossguards quite well. The scabbard has a brown painted finish that has a few minor scratches but which is essentially entirely intact and looks splendid. Attached to the scabbard ring is a brown leather dagger hanger with nickel silver components. The hanger clip is marked RZM M5/71. Overall the dagger is in very good to excellent condition.
