Black leather, about 7 1/4 inches long by 6 3/4 inches wide, with multiple insignia affixed to it. These being in a darkly tarnished, silver colored, metal. At the top is a princess' cornet. Below this is a medallion comprised of a wreath of thistles enclosing a rampant lion above two griffins. Around the edges of the medallion is found the words that are the motto of Scotland (as well as the motto of several Scottish regiments of the British Army: "Nemo me impune lacessit" ("No one attacks me with impunity"). Below this is a small 8 pointed star backing the image of St. Andrew with the cross. Does not appear to have any method of attachment to another piece. Shows expected wear and age but remains in very good condition.
