Third Reich Schutzpolizei NCO Visor Cap
A good example of the Third Reich visor cap for Non commissioned officers of the Schutzpolizei, the State Protection Police. The cap has a nice saddle shape and is constructed in police blue green wool, piped in green for the State Protection Police. The cap has a largely intact interior celluloid sweat shield that is manufacturer marked by the Berlin Firm of Robert Lubstein (better known by its brand name of "Erel"). The cap exterior shows typical signs of wear and use. There are spots and stains to the cap, primarily on top. There is tracking to the wool nap and to the brown wool cap band, as well as a very small hole to the overhang on the left side. There is also interior damage to the sweatband and a hole in the hat in the cap band in the rear, apparently from a rodent. The hole is about 1/4 inch by 1/2 inch in size. The cap displays well.
