WWI Unit Marked Model 1915 Prussian Pickelhaube

A Model 1915 Prussian EM or NCO pickelhaube helmet, with the interior bearing a manufacturer stamp, the stamped date of "1916", the size stamp of "56", and the unit stamp of the 158th Infantry Regiment. The rear interior visor bears a depot stamp as well as the 1916 date. The exterior of the helmet is in very good condition, with the patent leather surface maintaining a nice finish. The exterior has the typical age crazing. The interior liner is present and intact, although lacking the drawstring. The original chin strap is present as are both the national Reich and Prussian cockades. The 158th (7th Lotharingian) Infantry Regiment was garrisoned at Paderborn and was a part of the VII Corps, 2nd Army, and served on the western front during the war, including in the First Battle of the Marne and First Battle of Ypres. The helmet is in overall very good to excellent condition.
