WWII U.S. Navy Cloth Hawaii Silk Survival Map
A World War II U.S. Navy map, printed on silk, showing the ocean currents in the area of the Hawaiian Islands and the Upper Line Islands, including Christmas Island. The map is approximately 12 1/2 by 15 inches in size. Very good condition. The chart was prepared by the U.S. Naval Air Combat Intelligence-Hydrographic Office in Washington, and such maps were a part of the survival equipment kept with life rafts on board U.S. Navy aircraft and ships.
