WWII Japanese Gas Mask
click for an even bigger image

A fine example of a World War II Japanese gas mask. The rubber face mask is soft and pliable, with all attachment straps. One of the lenses shows some discoloration, likely from having been coated with an anti-fogging creme that was applied too heavily and which dried and over time to an opaque coating. The gas mask filtration canister can be detached from the mask and the screw-on cap for the canister connector is still present. The original paper label on the canister is complete and intact.
