M1916 Combat Helmet with Reichswehr Paint by Gnuchtel
A Model 1916 combat helmet, complete with three pad liner, repainted following the war for use by the Reichswehr of the Weimar Republic. The exterior field gray paint is essentially 95% intact, with simply some minor scratches and spots. The interior of the helmet is stamped "G62", indicating a size 62 shell that was manufactured by the firm of Gebruder Gnuchtel. The interior liner pads show wear and use but the liner is complete. The chin strap is missing.
