On Hold

DESCRIPTION

The uniform consists of the blue wool enlisted jumper, blue heavy cotton trousers, black neckerchief, white cotton "Dixie Cup" cap, and blue wool flat top cap, with the wool cap, neckerchief, and jumper all stenciled with the name of "B.F. Holbert". The cap tally reads "U.S. Navy Aeronautic Station". The left sleeve of the jumper has the rate of a Navy Aviation Mate, 2nd Class, and below this on the sleeve are two gold tape stripes reflecting a year of overseas service during World War I. The uniform jumpper and the blue wool cap are free of any moth damage, although it appears that the jumper was at some point folded and exposed to light, as there are spots on the jumper that are somewhat faded. The gilt of the lettering on the cap tally is worn, but the tally itself is still readable. Sizes;pants 16" , Shirt, shoulder to shoulder 20", pit to pit 20"
