Untouched Army Officer Dagger by Tiger with Hangers
A very nice early Army officer dagger with a blade that is manufacturer marked by Tiger. The dagger has a nicely toned orange celluloid grip that has an almost "glass-like" appearance. The grip has one very tiny and almost unnoticeable chip to one of the grip ridges. The oak leaves of the pommel are well defined. The pommel cap and guard are the early nickel silver variety and are in an untouched and uncleaned state, with dark patina. The blade has a number of spots on it but at least some of these appear to be old oil that has dried on the blade and which likely could be removed with a careful cleaning. The scabbard is free of dents and displays a dark and uncleaned patina. The original hangers remain with the dagger. The hangers show use, with wear to the silver brocade fabric on top and fraying of the backing velvet beneath, but the hangers nicely match the uncleaned appearance of the dagger itself. Overall excellent used condition in an early Army dagger by an uncommon manufacturer.
