May 1945 Czech Printed American Liberation Book
The book was printed in May of 1945 in the city of Plzen, Czechoslovakia, to commemorate the liberation of the city by the American Army. The book was obviously printed within days of the end of the war, if not before. The book has stiff card covers, the front cover embossed with the seal of the city. The book contains multiple photographs of the liberation and of American troops. The text is in both English and Czech. 6 inches by 8 1/2 inches, bout with a red, white and blue cord. The name of a G.I. is written inside the back cover: "B. Pecararo, 'A' Comp.". Very good condition.
