German Model 98/05 Butcher Bayonet by F.W. Holler

Model 98/05 bayonet, blade is marked by the firm of F.W. Holler on the ricasso. The blade is generally gray in appearance with some darker spots but without chips, nicks, or active rust. The wood grips have the minor indentations from use and there is a small chip on the edge of one side. The back of the grip has the narrow sheet of steel that was put in place as a flash guard in 1915, which exhibits a dent. The metal fittings on the grip are also gray in appearance. The scabbard exhibits a grey finish mixed with the remains of over-paint.
