SA Service Dagger RZM M7/2 (Emil Voos)
click for an even bigger image

An example of the Third Reich service dagger for the SA, the blade marked RZM M7/2, indicating manufacture by Emil Voos Waffenfabrik of Solingen. The blade has multiple gray areas on both sides, with a motto that is light in contrast to the blade. The grip is a medium to light brown wood with a nickel eagle inset in the center. The enamel SA runes button has some verdigris in the edges but it is free of chips or nicks. The wood grip itself shows some relatively light carrying wear but it is without cracks or chips. There is wear and speckling to the nickel plating of the upper and lower guards. The finish on the brown painted scabbard is approximately 90% intact. The dagger has its hanger still attached, which appears to be either very dark brown or black leather with a nickel suspension that is marked RZM M5/71 and "OLC".
