click for an even bigger image

The M35 helmet is manufacturer marked "Q64", indicating a size 64 shell manufactured by the Quist firm. The helmet was painted with a thick coat of field gray paint that gave the helmet a noticeably textured surface. It appears that this paint was applied over the army eagle decal and, at some point, it was removed, revealing the basic pattern of the decal as well as the original paint around the decal. The exterior paint is approximately 85% intact. The liner is present as is the chin strap, one lobe is torn and there is edge wear.
