An exceptionally fine example of a very clean uniform tunic worn by a member of the 5th Marine Regiment serving with the 2nd Division in World War I. The tunic is the Marine Corps style in forest green wool with pointed cuffs. The shoulder displays the multi piece wool patch of the 5th Marine Regiment. On the lower left sleeve are two Marine Corps overseas chevrons. The tunic carries Marine Corps buttons and a set of matching World War I Marine Corps collar disks. The left shoulder displays the fourragere of the French Croix de Guerre. Over the left breast pocket is a Victory Medal ribbon with a single large star. The tunic is fully lined. The entire tunic is in excellent used condition.
