One side of the blade has light decorative etching. There are some gray areas on the blade and some relatively minor pitting, with major areas of the blade remaining mirror-bright. The horn grip has shades of black, white and brown. There is a hairline crack at the base of the grip on one side that is about 3/4 of an inch long. The knife has an overall length of approximately 12 1/2 inches. The knife is retained within its original red leather scabbard with brass fittings at the throat and the tip. The scabbard has a brass belt hook affixed to the throat fitting on one side and there is a gold decorative spray of leaves on the red leather scabbard on the same side.
