Untouched RLB Officer Dagger by Weyersberg
A very fine example of the second model dagger for an officer of the RLB. The dagger is in an untouched and uncleaned condition. The dagger is complete with its set of original leather hangers. The blade is manufacturer marked by the firm of Paul Weyersberg and is in excellent condition. The blade shows the typical in and out runner marks and there are a few minor spots, but overall the blade is quite bright with visible cross grain. The grip and the scabbard are covered in dark blue leather. The leather shows the usual minor scuffs and there is a scratch in the leather on the reverse of the scabbard that is not particularly noticeable at all. Beyond this the leather on both the grip and the scabbard is in very good condition and without chips or missing pieces. The dark blue leather hangers also show minor scuffing, primarily on the edges, from carrying wear. The hangers have oval buckles and attachment clips decorated with oak leaves. The fittings of the dagger and scabbard are of the nickel silver variety, and all of the metal components of the dagger have an uncleaned patina. Overall the dagger is in very fine used condition.
