click for an even bigger image

The theater made bush jacket of a medical officer, almost certainly a doctor, in the china burma India theater, with his overseas cap. The jacket is a four pocket, belted, khaki cotton garment, with theater made cloth rank and branch insignia for a captain of the Medical Corps. On the left shoulder is a printed theater made patch of the China Burma India theater. The khaki wool officer's overseas cap is size 7 1/4, with an interior Philadelphia Quartermaster tag dated March of 1945. A pair of pin back Captain's rank insignia is affixed to the front of the cap. The jacket has some typical spots from use, and the cap has a few small holes in the wool fabric.
