Model 98/05 bayonet, blade is marked by PACK OHLIGER & CO SOLINGEN on the ricasso. The blade is very clean although there is some old, dried oil that can be easily removed. The wood grips have the minor indentations from use but no chips or cracks. The back of the grip has the narrow sheet of steel that was put in place as a flash guard in 1915. The metal fittings on the grip exhibit patches of surface rust. The blued finish on the scabbard shows expected wear but is still quite good. The scabbard also shows a few shallow dents and is missing its throat screw.
